Plants for the soul

You are in a new place. A new country, a new city, a new room. The room is the place where you spend a considerable amount of time and a relaxing, but motivating atmosphere is needed. Once a room has flowers and plants, your room has a life, a soul. They enchant you with their colors and fragility. Bold green, bright yellow, fiery red, gentle lilla - all contrasting with the pots, the pure white of the walls. Unless you have a pet, you and the plants are the only things that feel alive in your room. The state of the plants show how responsible is they care giver.

Never go to a doctor whose office plants have died (Erma Bombeck)

Do you feel them alive and happy or struggling for life, water, and light? Light. Light is the most important of all. Gives them power, helps their photosynthesis, keeps them alive and green. Just like us, humans - we also need light, natural light, the need to feel the sun's warmth and light on our face, skin. The moment you get out of your house and feel the sun - that is empowering, life-giving.
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself. (Edward Steichen )
